About and sources

Dumps Ontario is an independent guide to public dumps, landfills, transfer stations and drop-off depots in Ontario. We aren't run by a municipality or a waste company.

Where the information comes from

• Site locations come from the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks Ontario Landfills open dataset (Open Government Licence – Ontario), filtered to open sites.
• Hours, fees, accepted items and residency rules come from each operator's own website. Pages marked "Checked" were compared against that website in October 2026.
• Sites marked "Not verified" show the provincial record only. Call the operator before you go.

Always confirm

Operators change hours and fees, especially around holidays and seasons. Use this site to plan, then confirm with the site. If something's wrong, report a change.
