Where to take old tires in Ontario

203 public sites across Ontario list tires on the operator's own website. Checked October 2026.

Ontario has a tire recycling program, so many municipal sites take passenger tires free or for a small fee, often with a limit per visit and usually off the rim. These public sites list tires.

28 sites say they do not take tires, so we've left them out.

Before you go

  • Call or check the site's page first. Item rules, limits and fees change, and some sites take certain items only on set days.
  • Bring proof of address. Many municipal sites are for residents only.
  • Keep the item separate in your load so it can go straight to the right pile.
